Complete and partial dentures made for your smile, your bite and your comfort. Call today!
Dentures are removable replacement teeth for people missing some or all of their natural teeth. A complete denture replaces a full arch of upper or lower teeth. A partial denture fills the gaps where some teeth are missing and clips onto the natural teeth that remain. At Avyan Family Dental in Royal Oak, our dentist plans, fits and adjusts every denture, and we work with a trusted dental lab to make it to your measurements, so it looks natural and feels secure when you eat, speak and smile.
Eat a wider range of foods more comfortably
Helps with clearer speech
Supports the lips and cheeks for a fuller smile
Keeps the remaining teeth from drifting
Missing teeth affect more than your smile. Gaps can make chewing harder, change the way you speak and cause the neighbouring teeth to tip or drift into the open space, which can strain your bite over time. When a full arch is missing, the face can lose support around the lips and cheeks. A well-fitted denture restores function and appearance and helps protect the teeth you still have, so your mouth stays healthier and everyday meals and conversations feel normal again.
Dentures can be a good fit for adults missing several teeth or a full arch, people whose remaining teeth can’t be saved, and patients looking for a removable option. A partial denture often suits patients who still have healthy teeth to anchor it. A complete denture suits patients with no natural teeth left in an arch.
Every mouth is different, so we talk through all your tooth-replacement options before you decide. Dentures are one choice. Dental bridges and dental implants are others, and our dentist will explain the trade-offs in cost, comfort and upkeep for your situation.
Our dentist examines your teeth, gums and jaw, reviews your health history and talks through whether a complete or partial denture, a bridge or an implant suits you best.
We take precise impressions and bite records so the lab can make a denture shaped to your mouth, with teeth in a shade and size that suit your face.
Before the denture is finished, you try in a model version so we can check fit, bite, appearance and speech and make changes while they’re still easy to make.
Your finished denture is fitted and adjusted for comfort. We show you how to put it in, take it out and clean it.
New dentures often need small adjustments in the first few weeks as your mouth settles. We’ll see you for follow-ups to fix any sore spots and fine-tune the fit.
Replacing missing teeth supports more than your smile. Being able to chew comfortably helps you keep a varied, nutritious diet, and the Canadian Dental Association encourages regular dental visits for denture wearers too, because gums and the jawbone continue to change over time. At routine visits we check the fit of your denture, the health of your gums and any remaining teeth, and screen for oral health concerns, so small problems are caught early.
Your denture is planned and fitted by our dentist, Dr. Chauhan, not passed along in a rush. We work with a trusted dental lab, take time at the try-in so the fit and look are right before your denture is finished, and stay with you through the adjustment period. We accept CDCP with direct billing, offer free parking, and see patients from Royal Oak, Rocky Ridge, Tuscany and across NW Calgary. Our team speaks English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Arabic.
Our team provides patient-focused dental care for individuals and families in a supportive environment. We focus on comfort, communication, and personalized treatment planning for every visit.

I found this clinic through Instagram advertisement, and had setup my first consultation. The condition of my teeth was not good as finding time for myself after having a child can feel nearly impossible, and after letting my dental care slide for a few years. I was really nervous to get back into it at the age of 33. Coming to Avyan Family Dental in Calgary was the best decision I could have made. Dr. Manisha Chauhan is incredibly warm, welcoming, and reassuring. She completely put my anxiety at ease, walked me through every procedure in detail, and made sure I felt empowered to choose the options that worked best for my comfort level and budget—with zero pressure. On top of her wonderful bedside manner, the clinic has been so accommodating with my tight work schedules, always helping me adjust appointments when things get hectic. I started with a cleaning and cavity fillings, and now I'm moving forward with aligners! If you are in Calgary and looking for a dentist who is genuinely understanding, patient-focused, and flexible, I cannot recommend Dr. Manisha and her team enough.Posted on Google![]()

I had fillings replaced and a crown put in. The dr was able to do all the fillings, 4, and the crown prep in a few hours and the crown was ready promptly the next week. The final results even still fit perfectly in my orthodontic retainers! Replacing my old-style amalgam fillings with composite was the best decision I could have made. They must have been causing me pain without my even realizing, because that evening and the next day I felt better than I had BEFORE ~3 hours of dental work. They were friendly and kind, I felt very comfortable getting all that work done with them. They made sure I understood everything and remained comfortable the entire time. They even got me in right away! I’ve already recommended them to friends and family - I’m that pleased with them.Posted on Google![]()

Absolutely lovely staff all around. Kind, patient, gentle, good communication, have netflix to watch while they work, and a bunch of amazing high tech equipment to ensure the least discomfort. Have really enjoyed working with this team!
Missing teeth shouldn’t hold you back from enjoying food, conversation or your smile. If you’re considering dentures, book a consultation with Avyan Family Dental in NW Calgary.
Dentures typically last between five and ten years before they need replacing, depending on wear, fit and natural changes in your gums and jawbone. We check the fit at routine visits, and a reline can often restore support between replacements.
Most people need a few weeks to get used to a new denture. Speaking and eating can feel different at first, so start with softer foods cut into small pieces. Follow-up adjustments help it feel more comfortable as your mouth settles.
A complete denture replaces all the teeth in the upper or lower arch. A partial denture replaces some missing teeth and clips onto your remaining natural teeth, which also helps keep them from shifting.
Dentures are among the services covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), and we accept CDCP with direct billing. Some treatments need preauthorization before they’re approved under the plan. See our CDCP page or call us and we’ll help you check.
It depends on your health, your bone, your budget and your preferences. Dentures are removable and usually cost less up front. Implants are fixed in place and help preserve the jawbone. Our dentist will walk you through both options, plus bridges, at your consultation.
